Department of Radioactive Waste Management (DMDR)
The Department of Radioactive Waste Management (DMDR) has two major facilities of national interest:
- The Radioactive Waste Processing Facility
- The National Deposit of Radioactive Wase of Low and Medium Activity Băiţa, Bihor county.
The mission of the DMDR department consists in managing radioactive waste from national instutitions as a result of technical applications from fields such as education, medicine, agriculture or industry whilst conforming to officially established safety measures in order to protect the operators, the population and the environment.
